Emergency Contacts Registration for Local Businesses
The Ocean Springs Police Department appreciates local businesses. We have a form for businesses to complete that provides us with contact information in the event there is an emergency or problem with the business such as a burglary, or alarm. The form can be picked up at the Police Department anytime or can be downloaded here. The information provided will be private and not shared or sold to anyone.
Accident or Incident Reports
You may pick up a copy or your accident report or incident report from the records department during working hours only Monday - Friday (except holidays) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m..
There is a charge of $10.00 per accident report.
There is no charge for your initial copy of your incident report.
Any copies or reports requested for prior incident reports requires a public information request form.
Public Record Request Forms
Public record request forms are available at City Hall and may also be downloaded here. There is a standard fee of $17 per hour for research and $0.25 per copy. As allowed by law we have 14 days to process the request.
Bicycle Registration
As a free service to City residents, the Ocean Springs Police Department will register your bicycle and keep the information on file in the event your bicycle is stolen or lost.
Just bring your bicycle down to the police department and we will be glad to register it for you. We will complete a form and give you a copy. You will also be issued a numbered decal to put on your bicycle that allows us to identify your bicycle.
Firearms Registration
The Ocean Springs Police Department will register firearms for residents. There is no fee for this service. Bring the firearm you wish to register (unloaded) to the Police Department and we will be glad to register it for you. This is useful in the event the firearm is lost or stolen.
This is not a firearms permit and it does not allow you to carry a sidearm. These permits can only be obtained from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety at 16499A Highway 49, Saucier, MS 39574. Call (228) 539-4881for details.
