The City of Ocean Springs will hold a public hearing on a proposed ad valorem tax revenue increase for fiscal year 2019-2020 and on its proposed budget and proposed tax levies for fiscal year 2019-2020 on September 5, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
The splash pad at Clay Boyd park is temporarily closed for maintenance. We are in the process of replacing a piece of damaged equipment. We hope to have it back up and operating as quickly as possible.
Heat Advisory is in effect for most of the area again today. Expect Heat Indices to reach the 107-112 range, and isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi. This may provide some relief from the heat.
The boil water notice previously issued for your area (Linda Circle, Linda Drive, Halstead Road and surrounding areas) is lifted. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to boil water.
