Youth Council Member Treats Seniors to Valentine’s Day Party
Ocean Springs, MS – Hallie Darphin, an OSHS senior and Mayor’s Youth Council member, hosted seniors with a special Valentine’s Day party at the Ocean Springs Senior Citizen Center on Friday.
David Bella, Michael Reynolds and Andy Hills, OSHS students, served as escorts during the party, serving food, taking pictures, and giving all ladies present red carnations compliments of Lady Di’s Florist and Funky Foo Foo Florist.
Entertainment was provided by the OSHS Madrigal Choir, under the direction of Michelle Harrison. Following, everyone enjoyed a pot-luck lunch. Desserts were provided by Northwestern Mutual Financial Services.
Prior to the party, seniors made Valentine’s Day cards for the residents of Ocean Springs Nursing Center.
