State of the City Address, IP/Viking Culinary Arts Cafe’ Opening on 2/26 at the Mary C.
Ocean Springs, MS – Mayor Connie Moran will deliver the State of the City Address on Friday, February 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Arts Center, 1600 Government Street. The State of the City Address coincides with the public open house for the much anticipated IP/Viking Culinary Arts Cafe’. The cafe’ will provide complimentary refreshments at a reception that will continue until 7 p.m.
“The Board of Aldermen and I invite the public to the Mary C. to hear the highlights of our past year of administration, as well as the important projects that will come to fruition in 2010,” said Mayor Moran. “We have diligently followed our strategic plan and are fortunate to have such dedicated department heads and staff to help carry out these initiatives.”
“I am very honored and proud to be a part of this new and exciting addition to the Mary C. O’Keefe’s wonderful arts curriculum. The Culinary Arts Cafe’ presents a unique opportunity for restaurant owners, operators and chefs to showcase their craft to the public while at the same time giving back to the community,” said Stephen Morgan, IP Vice President, Food & Beverage. “We have assembled a great team at the Mary C. who will offer classes encompassing a wide variety of culinary cultures, techniques and disciplines. I believe there is a little Chef in all of us. See you at the Mary C.!”

Over half the slots in our March/April classes have already been snapped up.”
