Ocean Springs, MS – Santa Claus is coming to town!  The City of Ocean Springs annual Christmas tree lighting event in Marshall Park on Thursday, December 3, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., will feature Santa Claus, holiday refreshments, live music, a donation box for the local food pantry, and an official post office drop box for letters to Santa.

Hosted by the City of Ocean Springs and the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Visitor Center, the event is free to the public.

The evening festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with holiday music by the Magnolia Song Birds of Magnolia Park Elementary School, directed by Mr. Jay Twilbeck.

In the spirit of giving for the holidays, citizens are encouraged to donate non-perishable canned goods at a donational drop box supplied by The Lord is My Help Food Pantry.  The donation drop box will be located near the park’s entrance at Washington Blvd.

Children will have the opportunity to write a letter to Santa at the writing station hosted by the Ocean Springs Post Office and the Mayor’s Youth Council.  Writing supplies will be available at the writing station, and the Post Office is assuring prompt delivery to the North Pole!
