Public Works Prepares for Annual Cleaning of Cemeteries
Ocean Springs, MS – The City of Ocean Springs Public Works Department, with the assistance of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, will begin its annual cleanup of the Evergreen and Bellande Cemeteries on Monday, October 20.
The yearly event coincides with the holiday season, beginning with All Saints’ Day on November 1st. The cutting, pruning, raking and removal of limbs, leaves and trash will take place during the annual cleanup. Following the cleanup, citizens are asked to bring future refuse to the roadways, so Public Works employees may continue to keep the cemeteries clean.
