OS Sponsors City-Wide Blood Drive at City Hall

Ocean Springs, MS – The City of Ocean Springs with the Mayor’s Youth Council will host a city-wide blood drive on Friday, February 5, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at City Hall, 1018 Porter Avenue

The blood drive is being directed by the Blood Center.  The Blood Center is the sole provider of blood products to Singing River Hospital, Ocean Springs Hospital, and VA Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System – Biloxi.

Requirements for donating blood include being 16 years of age or older, currently in good health, and meeting the donation suitability criteria.  A screening will be performed by Blood Center staff prior to donation of blood.  Donors who are 16 years of age must complete a consent form.  This form requires parent or legal guardian signature.  Forms are available at City Hall.  A photo identification is required for all potential donors.

All donors will receive a New Orleans Saints t-shirt, family blood coverage, and a cholesterol check courtesy of the Blood Center.
