OS Resident Donates Handmade Teddy Bears to OSPD
Ocean Springs, MS – Jackie McIntosh, a resident of Villa Maria Retirement Apartments in Ocean Springs, delivered 30 handmade teddy bears to Police Chief Lionel Cothern at tonight’s Mayor and Board of Aldermen meeting. The teddy bears will be kept in OSPD patrol cars to be later given to traumatized children.
The teddy bears were made from recycled denim donated by residents of the Villa Maria. Each bear has a red apple stitched on its foot – the signature trademark for its maker, Mrs. McIntosh.
