Holley Receives Scholarship for Economic Development Training
Ocean Springs, MS – Kristen Holley, Project Coordinator for The City of Ocean Springs, has received a scholarship from the Mississippi Economic Development Council, Inc. to attend the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute in Indianapolis, IN.
Funding for the MEDC Economic/Community Development Scholarship program is provided by the Mississippi Economic Development Council, Inc., Mississippi Development Authority, Mississippi Power Company, and Tennessee Valley Authority.
“I am looking forward to learning and applying the principles of economic development, and how I can incorporate these concepts within Ocean Springs. I want to thank the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen for supporting me in this endeavor,” said Mrs. Holley.
The course curriculum includes: Workforce Development for Existing Business, Federal Tools and Programs, Technology’s Role in the Economic Development Office, and Effective Prospect Management.
