East OS Receives Gateway to the City

Ocean Springs, MS – East Ocean Springs has received its own

gateway to the city located at the northwest corner of Hwy. 57

James Hagan, Alderman-Ward 6, Mayor Connie Moran, Architect Henry Furr, and Julia Weaver, Alderman-at-Large

and Bienville Boulevard, Hwy. 90. Modeled after the landmark sign at Washington Boulevard and Bienville Boulevard, the gateway stands 13 ft. high and 11 ft. wide, with the signature 1699 cast stone medallion. Designed by local architect Henry Furr, who also designed the original gateway in 2004, the east end gateway is complete with landscaping and lighting details.
