City of Ocean Springs Launches City E-Newsletter
Ocean Springs, Ms – The City of Ocean Springs e-newsletter will soon launch following its approval at Tuesday night’s Mayor and Board of Aldermen meeting. The monthly newsletter Discover will feature news from city departments as well as a calendar of events, and featured articles related to pertinent city news.
The city launched a newsletter in 2008 that was delivered to homes through the postal service. The e-newsletter will save the city thousands of dollars in postal fees.
The city will contract with Constant Contact, a permission-based email company. To get a copy of the e-newsletter, individuals must provide a name and email address for subscription. To do so, visit the city’s web site, www.oceansprings-ms.gov. Look for the spotlight link and the email update link on the home page. Once a subscribers’ list is established, distribution of the e-newsletter will begin. Constant Contract has a zero tolerance against SPAM and does not use provided email lists. The only way to subscribe to Discover e-newsletter is through the city’s web site.
