City of Ocean Springs Hires New Arborist
Ocean Springs, MS – Murville Alleman, an arborist with 32 years of professional experience, has been hired as the city arborist for Ocean Springs.

He has served as the former president of the Charlotte, NC Arborists Association, former chairman of Tree Climbing Championship of Charlotte, NC, and former vice president of Tree Climbers International of Atlanta, GA.
“While I am new to Ocean Springs and Mississippi, I grew up on the Gulf Coast and most of my family lives along I-10. My wife and I are excited about this community and look forward to moving in and making friends here,” said Mr. Alleman.
Mr. Alleman has set his professional goals as city arborist as: serving needs of tree-owning public; establishing long term objectives for city treescape; developing relationships with area garden clubs, volunteers, and other civic groups interested in treescape development, and identifying Ocean Springs as “The” tree city of the MS Gulf coast and in the state.
Mr. Alleman and his wife Margaret have recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Margaret Alleman is a career teacher. Sarah Margaret, the couple’s daughter, is an architectural student at LSU; their son Benjamin works in retail sporting goods.
