Area Fire Fighters to Participate in Live Fire Training Exercise

Ocean Springs, MS – Area fire fighters will participate in a live fire training exercise on Tuesday, January 20, beginning at 6 p.m. at the former Delchamps parking lot, 2955 Bienville Blvd. (Hwy. 90). The public is invited to attend.
“Not only does this event provide valuable training for our area fire fighters, but it is a fantastic scene at night,” said Anthony Johnson, OSFD Training Officer.
Last year’s liquefied petroleum gas fire training brought over 35 volunteer and career fire fighters from Ocean Springs, Gautier, Fontainebleau, Gulf Park Estates, Escatapawa, and Fort Bayou.
The fire training is part of a two-day event provided by the State Fire Academy of Jackson, MS. For more information about this event, contact Anthony Johnson, OSFD Training Officer, 228-381-0748.
