The Ocean Springs Municipal Court begins at 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday (excluding Jan. 1st, July 2nd, Dec. 24th, and Dec. 24th.) You must be present at that time to avoid delay in your case or a warrant being issued for you arrest. All trials are scheduled for 5:00 p.m. If you are subpoenaed for a case you are expected to be present in the court room at 4:45 p.m.
If you wish to plead NOT GUILTY to your charge online and request a TRIAL DATE, please click the here. Online entries are not available for DUI, Shoplifting, Domestic Violence, or Drug charges due to the fact that the defendant must sign waivers in court that must be witnessed.
Juvenile Driving Class: It is available to those who are under the age of 21 and have not had a ticket in the last year. You must bring your parent or guardian with you to court. A list of schools that have been approved by the judge will be provided to you at the time of court. It is your responsibility to bring proof that you have completed the class in person within the 30-day time frame allotted with proof that you are a full-time student. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for the full fine normally associated with the ticket.
Adult Driving Class:
It is available to those who are over the age of 21. The stipulations that qualify you for this class are that you must pay the price of the ticket and an additional fee of $10.00 to the State of Mississippi. To qualify for the class, you must not possess a CDL or have had a ticket of any kind in the last 3 years. A list of schools that have been approved by the judge will be provided to you at the time of court. It is your responsibility to bring proof that you have completed the class in person or online within the 30-day time frame allotted.
Payments can be made in person, by mail or on the internet. If you pay in person you must pay with a money order, local check (with Valid ID & Phone #) Credit Card;No AMEX (with 2% fee and valid ID), or cash.
We do not accept checks for contempt charges/warrants. The payment must be paid with certified funds such, as money order, cashier’s check, or cash.
If you send your payment in the mail you must pay by CHECK OR MONEY ORDER.
