Here, we will provide you with information regarding location, hours of operation, programs, payments, and ticket prices.

Hours of Operation
We are available for phone calls and court documents Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. except on Wednesdays when we close to the public at noon to prepare for court. Payments are accepted until 4:30 p.m. (except Wednesdays, until 11:30 a.m.). Our phone number is 228-875-5009.
The Ocean Springs Municipal Court begins at 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday (excluding some holiday weeks). You must be present at that time to avoid delay in your case or a warrant being issued for your arrest. All trials are scheduled for 5:00 p.m. If you are subpoenaed for a case, you are expected to be present in the court room at 4:45 p.m.
Juvenile Driving Class It is available to those who are under the age of 21 and have not had a ticket in the last year. You must bring your parent or guardian with you to court. A list of schools that have been approved by the judge will be provided to you at the time of court. It is your responsibility to bring proof that you have completed the class in person within the 30-day time frame allotted with proof that you are a full-time student. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for the full fine normally associated with the ticket.
Adult Driving Class It is available to those who are over the age of 21. The stipulations that qualify you for this class are that you must pay the price of the ticket and an additional fee of $10.00 to the State of Mississippi. To qualify for the class, you must not possess a CDL or have had a ticket of any kind in the last 3 years. A list of schools that have been approved by the judge will be provided to you at the time of court. It is your responsibility to bring proof that you have completed the class in person or online within the 30-day time frame allotted.
Payments are accepted until 4:30 p.m. (except Wednesdays, until 11:30 a.m.). Payments can be made in person, by mail or on the internet. If you pay in person you must pay with a money order, Credit Card (with 3% fee and valid ID) [No AMEX], or cash.
We do not accept personal checks. The payment must be paid with certified funds such as a money order, cashier’s check, or cash.
If you send your payment in the mail you must pay by cashier’s check or money order, and include full name and date of birth with the payment.
Please make sure all money orders are made payable to the City of Ocean Springs.
