MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
SPECIAL CALL MEETING SEPTEMBER 24, 2009
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Special Call Meeting at Ocean Springs City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 6:00 p.m. on September 24, 2009. The Mayor presiding, Aldermen Ross, Gill, McDonnell, Cody, Denyer and Dalgo were present. Also present was City Clerk Shelly Ferguson and City Attorney John Edwards. Aldermen Hagan was absent.
The Mayor called the meeting to order.
The Special Call Meeting is for the purpose of any and all matters pertaining to Fort Maurepas Park.
Motion was made by Alderman Gill and seconded by Alderman Cody and unanimously carried to authorize the Mayor to execute contract with Greg Cantrell, Inc. to design signs for Fort Maurepas Park. After further discussion, Alderman Gill amended his motion and Alderman Cody amended his second and unanimously carried to authorize the Mayor up to $3,000.00 for conceptual designs for two (2) signs at Fort Maurepas Park to be provided by Greg Cantrell, Inc.
Motion was made by Alderman McDonnell, seconded by Alderman Cody and unanimously carried to Compton Engineering to perform survey of Fort Maurepas Park required by FEMA to be paid out of contingency fund if no other funds are available.
Motion was made by Alderman Ross, seconded by Alderman Cody and unanimously carried to adjourn the special call meeting.
