MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
SPECIAL CALL MEETING MARCH 14, 2007
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Special Call Meeting at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 6:00 p.m. on March 14, 2007. Mayor Moran presiding, Aldermen Gill, McDonnell, Lloyd, Weaver, Denyer, Dalgo and Hagan were present. Also present was Deputy City Clerk Mindy McDowell.
Mayor Moran called the meeting to order.
The Special Call Meeting is for the purpose of any and all matters pertaining to May Fest, the Historic Preservation Commissions recommendation to allow stabilization of the foundation and roof at 312 Shearwater Drive and an Executive Session for interviews for the Director of Community Development and Planning and any other personnel issues.
Motion was made by Alderman Hagan and seconded by Alderman Dalgo to support the operation of May Fest on May 5, 2007, close down Russell Avenue to Washington Avenue at 11:00 a.m. and provide Police, Fire and Public Works assistance. Motion carried with Aldermen Gill, McDonnell, Weaver, Denyer, Dalgo and Hagan voting aye and Alderman Lloyd voting nay.
Motion was made by Alderman McDonnell, seconded by Alderman Hagan and unanimously carried to accept the Historic Preservation Commissions recommendation to allow stabilization of the foundation and roof at 312 Shearwater Drive (Exhibit 2).
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion was made by Alderman Lloyd, seconded by Alderman Hagan and unanimously carried to go into closed session to determine the necessity of going into executive session.
Motion was made by Alderman Gill, seconded by Alderman McDonnell and unanimously carried to remain in executive session to interview for the Director of Community Development and Planning and discuss any other personnel issues.
Motion was made by Alderman McDonnell, seconded by Alderman Weaver and unanimously carried to come out of executive session and return to regular session.
Motion was made by Alderman Weaver, seconded by Alderman McDonnell and unanimously carried to adjourn the special call meeting.
