MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
SPECIAL CALL MEETING JUNE 9, 2009
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Special Call Meeting at City Hall Center in the City of Ocean Springs at 8:00 a.m. on June 9, 2009. The Mayor presiding, Aldermen Gill, Lloyd, Denyer and Dalgo were present. Also present was City Clerk Shelly Ferguson. Aldermen McDonnell, Weaver and Hagan were absent.
The Mayor called the meeting to order.
The Special Call Meeting is for the purpose of any and all matters pertaining to issues regarding the construction of the public safety facility on Bienville Boulevard; authorize to apply for funds from Office of Highway Safety for DUI Enforcement and to sign appropriate documentation to accept and implement program and approve Minutes: Special Call Meeting May 18, 2009.
Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo, seconded by Alderman Gill and unanimously carried to approve Changer Order No. 1 for Ocean Springs Public Safety Complex for demolition and haul off of four (4) concrete slabs that were discovered on the west side of the site increasing original Contract Lump Sum Price to $242,637.00 (Exhibit 1).
Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo, seconded by Alderman Denyer and unanimously carried to accept the proposal from Geotechnical Engineering – Testing, Inc. in the amount of $7,521.00 for Ocean Springs Public Safety Complex (Exhibit 1).
Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo, seconded by Alderman Denyer and unanimously carried to authorize the apply for funds from Office of Highway Safety for DUI Enforcement and to sign appropriate documentation to accept and implement program (Exhibit 2).
Motion was made by Alderman Lloyd, seconded by Alderman Gill and unanimously carried to approve minutes from Special Call Meeting on May 18, 2009 (Exhibit 3).
Motion was made by Alderman Gill, seconded by Alderman Lloyd and unanimously carried to adjourn the special call meeting.
The meeting ended at 8:42 a.m.
