MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
RECESS MEETING OF JUNE 17, 2008
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Recess meeting at the Ocean Springs City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 6:00 p.m. on June 17, 2008. The Mayor presiding, Aldermen Gill, McDonnell, Weaver, Denyer, Dalgo and Hagan were present. Also present were City Clerk Shelly Ferguson and City Attorney John Edwards. Alderman Lloyd was absent.
The Alderman at Large gave the invocation. The Mayor led the pledge of allegiance.
NEW BUSINESS
Supervisor John McKay addressed the Board to rebuild the community pier and asked the City for a $30,000.00 match for the project. Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo and seconded by Alderman Gill to join with the County to rebuild the community pier at the foot of Martin Avenue on front beach with an amount up to $30,000.00. Motion carried with Aldermen Gill, McDonnell, Denyer, Dalgo and Hagan voting aye and Alderman Weaver voting nay.
