MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
SPECIAL CALL MEETING JULY 27, 2007
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Special Call Meeting at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 8:00 a.m. on July 27, 2007. Mayor Moran presiding, Aldermen Lloyd, Weaver, Dalgo and Hagan were present. Aldermen Gill, McDonnell and Denyer were absent. Also present was City Clerk Adrienne Howell.
The Mayor called the meeting to order.
The Special Call Meeting is for the purpose of any and all matters pertaining to refinancing of a $2,500,000.00 emergency loan, the funding of F.H.W.A. projects, and the closure of the FEMA Trailer Park.
Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo, seconded by Alderman Hagan and unanimously carried to accept the recommendation of the City Clerk regarding refinancing of the $2,500,000.00 emergency loan (Exhibit 1) and adopt the attached resolution (Exhibit 2).
Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo, seconded by Alderman Weaver and unanimously carried to authorize the FEMA Trailer Park at the Civic Center to remain open until December 31, 2007; this extension will have no impact on the termination date for occupied trailers on private property which is August 15, 2007.
Motion was made by Alderman Lloyd, seconded by Alderman Dalgo and unanimously carried to notify the people living in the FEMA Trailer Park at the Civic Center that the park will be closed on January 1, 2008.
Motion was made by Alderman Hagan, seconded by Alderman Weaver and unanimously carried to adjourn the special call meeting.
