MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
SPECIAL CALL MEETING JANUARY 30, 2007
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Special Call Meeting at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2007. Mayor Moran presiding, Aldermen Gill, Lloyd, Weaver, Denyer and Hagan were present. Also present was City Clerk Adrienne Howell. Aldermen Gill, McDonnell, Dalgo and City Attorney John Edwards were absent.
Mayor Moran called the meeting to order.
The Special Call Meeting is for the purpose of any and all matters pertaining to changes to the Mississippi Gulf Regional Utility Act, interviews for the Human Resources Manager position and any other matters pertaining to personnel in the Human Resources Department and any other department.
Motion was made by Alderman Hagan, seconded by Alderman Weaver and unanimously carried to approve the changes to the Mississippi Gulf Region Utility Act and authorize the Mayor to forward it to the appropriate parties (Exhibit 1). Alderman Lloyd abstained from the vote.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion was made by Alderman Weaver, seconded by Alderman Hagan and unanimously carried to go into closed session to determine the necessity of going into executive session.
The City Clerk returned to the meeting and announced that a motion was made by Alderman Denyer, seconded by Alderman Weaver and unanimously carried to remain in executive session to discuss interviews for the Human Resources Manager position and any other matters pertaining to personnel in the Human Resources Department and any other department.
Alderman Lloyd and Denyer left at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting concluded due to lack of a quorum.
