MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
SPECIAL CALL MEETING AUGUST 18, 2008
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Special Call Meeting at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 6:00 p.m. on August 18, 2008. Mayor Moran presiding, Aldermen Gill, McDonnell, Lloyd, Denyer, and Hagan were present. Also present was City Clerk Shelly Ferguson. Alderman Weaver and Dalgo were absent.
Mayor Moran called the meeting to order.
The Special Call Meeting is for the purpose of any and all matters pertaining to interviews for Parks and Leisure Services Director.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion was made by Alderman Hagan, seconded by Alderman McDonnell and unanimously carried to go into closed session to determine the necessity of going into executive session.
Motion was made by Alderman McDonnell, seconded by Alderman Hagan and unanimously carried to remain in executive session to conduct three interviews for the position of Parks and Leisure Services Director.
Human Resources/Risk Manager Mindy McDowell and Civil Service Commissioner Pamela Cox, and Parks Advisory Board members were in attendance.
Motion was made by Alderman Hagan, seconded by Alderman Gill and unanimously carried to come out of executive session and return to regular session.
Motion was made by Alderman Lloyd, seconded by Alderman Hagan and unanimously carried to adjourn the special call meeting.
