MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
RECESS MEETING OF AUGUST 10, 2009
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Recess meeting at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 3:30 p.m. on August 10, 2009. Mayor Moran presiding, Aldermen Ross, Gill, Cody and Denyer were present. Also present was City Clerk Shelly Ferguson. Aldermen McDonnell, Dalgo and Hagan were absent.
OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Chuck Uletsckey and Ms. Joy Oliver with Mississippi Power Company conducted a team building exercise with the Mayor, Board of Aldermen and Department Heads.
Mr. Chuck Uletsckey and Ms. Joy Oliver with Mississippi Power Company served as facilitators to review the strategic planning for capital improvements and prioritize future projects.
Motion was made by Alderman Gill, seconded by Alderman Denyer and unanimously carried to authorize submittal of the lease application to the Mississippi Secretary of State for the Front Beach Path including the $150.00 filing fee (Exhibit 5-a).
Motion was made by Alderman Cody, seconded by Alderman Gill and unanimously carried to amend the agenda to add item No. (5-b).
Motion was made by Alderman Cody, seconded by Alderman Ross and unanimously carried to authorize the Mayor to execute the Contract with Valleycrest Landscape Development for the Streetscape Project – Phase I, CDBG Round l, pending legal approval (Exhibit 5-b).
Alderman McDonnell arrives at the meeting.
Motion was made by Alderman McDonnell, seconded by Alderman Gill and unanimously carried to recess until 5:30 p.m. on August 12, 2009.
