MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN
CITY OF OCEAN SPRINGS
SPECIAL CALL MEETING SEPTEMBER 30, 2008
Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Special Call Meeting at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 8:00 a.m. on September 30, 2008. The Mayor presiding, Aldermen Gill, McDonnell, Weaver and Dalgo were present. Also present was City Clerk Shelly Ferguson. Aldermen Lloyd, Denyer and Hagan were absent.
The Mayor called the meeting to order.
The Special Call Meeting is for the purpose of any and all matters pertaining to approving budget amendments; approving payment: Docket of Claims and spread upon the minutes; authorizing Special Event Permit for Sunset Bridge Walks; ratifying Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi to Temporarily Allow Consumption of Beverages on Public Property for the Duration of Cruisin’ the Coast 2008 and authorizing the participation in Reach Housing Scholarship Program.
Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo, seconded by Alderman McDonnell and unanimously carried to approve budget amendments (Exhibit a).
Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo, seconded by Alderman McDonnell and unanimously carried to approve the Docket of Claims with change to payoff amount to Bancorp South in the amount of $56,687.77 and issue the check immediately (Exhibit b).
Motion was made by Alderman Weaver, seconded by Alderman Gill and unanimously carried to authorize the special event permit for Sunset Bridge Walks (Exhibit c).
Motion was made by Alderman Gill, seconded by Alderman McDonnell and unanimously carried to ratify the Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi to temporarily allow consumption of beverages on public property for the duration of Cruisin’ the Coast 2008 (Exhibit d).
Alderman Denyer arrives at the meeting.
Motion was made by Alderman McDonnell, seconded by Alderman Gill and unanimously carried to table item (e) authorizing participating in Reach Housing Scholarship Program until October 7, 2008.
Motion was made by Alderman Dalgo, seconded by Alderman Weaver and unanimously carried to adjourn the special call meeting.
