Ocean Springs Elks Parade Route Information

Certain streets will be closed from 1:00 pm until the end of the parade on Saturday, January 27, 2018. The barricades will be placed Saturday starting at 12:00 pm. Parking on private property will not be allowed. Towing will be a measure of last resort, and the City of Ocean Springs will only do so once all measures of contacting a vehicle’s owner have been exhausted.

The following streets will be closed:

-Porter Avenue (from the Ocean Springs Yacht Club to Washington Ave.)

-Washington Avenue (from Porter Ave. to Government Street)

-Government Street (from Washington Ave. to Holcomb Blvd.)

Southbound traffic on Washington Avenue from US-90 will be re-routed via Desoto Street. Roads will reopen at the discretion of the Ocean Springs Police Department. As always, it is at the discretion of local law enforcement as to whether it is in the interest of the public’s safety to add or remove a barricade.

Anything within the area of the Porter Avenue Infrastructure Improvement Project that is marked with barricades and/or safety fencing must be observed with caution for the public’s safety. The Casino Bridge Run will also be taking place on the morning of Saturday, January 27, 2018, and additional traffic and pedestrians can be expected on the streets.
