SPECIAL CALL MEETING
OF APRIL 30, 2018
it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs
met in a Special Call meeting at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 5:30
p.m. on April 30, 2018. Mayor Dobson presiding,
Aldermen Cox, Authement, Bellman, Papania, Blackman, and Impey were
present. Also present was City Clerk Shelly
Ferguson and City Attorney Kevin Melchi. Alderman Gill was absent.
purpose of the Special Call Meeting is to discuss any and all matters pertaining
to Jimmy Lane Construction and Development and City Dog Park.
Dobson stated that the RFP’s for engineering services regarding the Dog Park
have been submitted. The Board of
Aldermen discussed what work would be completed by in-house staff and what
engineering services are needed. The Board of Aldermen directed the Public
Works to start prep work on the Dog Park.
by Alderman Blackman, seconded by Alderman Impey and unanimously carried to authorize Compton Engineering to perform
initial survey and preliminary services for the Dog Park.
Lane presented his development plans for Bills Ave. He requested the City run new water and sewer
infrastructure. They discussed drainage
issues on Bills Ave.

into closed session.
made by Alderman Blackman, seconded by Alderman Authement and unanimously
carried to remain in executive session to discuss litigation regarding JCUA, MS
Rising Coalition, and the Sands Development.

come out of executive session.
