    a)      Adopt the Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi to Match Donated Funds to the Walter Anderson Museum of Art (Exhibit 5-a)

    *Consent Agenda – All matters listed under Item 6, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be enacted by one motion.  There will not be separate discussion of these items.  If discussion is desired, that item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately.

    a)     Authorize to schedule public hearing for September 18, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. to adopt Resolution and Order adopting the FY2018-2019 Uniform Assessment Schedule for motor vehicles (Exhibit 6-a)

    b)     Ratify check in the amount of $252.00 to Gulfside Periodontics to cover NSF fees due to an autodraft error for their water bill (Exhibit 6-b)

    c)     Ratify check in the amount of $100.00 to Sonja Jackson to refund football registration fees due to lack of participants (Exhibit 6-c)

    d)     Adopt the Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi to Temporarily Allow the Consumption of Beer and Alcoholic Beverages on Public Property for the Duration of the 2018 Cruisin’ the Coast (Exhibit 6-d)

    e)     Adopt the Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi to Temporarily Allow the Consumption of Beer and Alcoholic Beverages on Public Property for the Duration of the 2018 Peter Anderson Festival (Exhibit 6-e)

    f)      Accept Revenue and Expenditures Report through August 31, 2018 (Exhibit 6-f)

    g)     Approve Run/Walk Permit Application for the Sprinkles of Hope 5K Run/Walk Event to be held on Friday, September 14, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Front Beach Pathway and Bridge run only; no cost incurred by the city (Exhibit 6-g)

    h)     Approve Special Event Permit Application for Oktoberfest at the Mary C. Event to be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.; to be held on the grounds of the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center; $450.00 cost incurred for security to be paid by the event organizer (Exhibit 6-h)

    Police Department:

    i)       Authorize to declare the list of (4) four firearms as surplus, remove from the City’s inventory, and to allow the transfer to Biloxi Police Department as approved by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (Exhibit 6-i)

    Fire Department:

    Human Resources/Risk Management:

    j)       Accept the resignation of Patrolman Chantha Lee, effective August 22, 2018; authorize payout of his personal leave up to 240 hours; authorize to begin the process to fill the vacant position (Exhibit 6-j)

    k)      Authorize to remove Firefighter Rasheeda Crawford from probation and place on full time status effective immediately (Exhibit 6-k)

    l)       Authorize to hire Martin Hubbard, Sewer Department Laborer Class C, effective September 5, 2018; $12.50 hourly rate; one year probationary period pending successful completion of all pre-employment requirements (Exhibit 6-l)

    m)    Authorize to hire David Charbonnet, Street Department Laborer Class C, effective September 10, 2018; $12.00 hourly rate; one year probationary period pending successful completion of all pre-employment requirements (Exhibit 6-m)

    n)      Authorize to remove Jonathan Wise from probationary status to full time status effective September 6, 2018 (Exhibit 6-n)

    o)      Authorize to award the bid to Suncoast Infrastructure, Inc. in the amount of $167,301.00 for CIPP Lining Sewer Rehabilitation 2018 as recommended by Compton Engineering (Exhibit 6-o)

    p)      Approve the request for License to Encroach for Driveway within Undeveloped Joyce Street Right-of-Way, Lot 12 Davidson Subdivision (Exhibit 6-p)

    Planning Commission:

    q)      Approve the application for a Residential Short Term Rental (STR) Permit located at 403 Bechtel Blvd., PID #60137023.000, as recommended by the Planning Commission – Ian D’Angelo (Exhibit 6-q)

    Building Department:   

    r)       Accept Tree Protection Committee Meeting Minutes from August 28, 2018 (Exhibit 6-r)

    s)      Accept Code Enforcement Report through August 31, 2018 (Exhibit 6-s)

    t)       Authorize to approve the request from the Ocean Springs School District for a variance reducing the required number of restroom fixtures as required by the 2012 International Plumbing Code for the Greyhounds Stadium Restroom (Exhibit 6-t)

    8.      PUBLIC COMMENT:  The public is invited to address the Board for up to 3 minutes each for a maximum period of 30 minutes. The Board will take all comments under advisement to take potential action at a later date if warranted. Priority will be given to Ocean Springs residents and Business Owners.
