    e)     Approve Run/Walk Permit Application for an Ocean Springs Bridge 5K Run/Walk sponsored by Someone’s Child on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.; OS Bridge Walk Only Event; no costs to city departments (Exhibit 8-e)

    f)      Approve Run/Walk Permit Application for the 9th Annual Rotary Club of Ocean Springs 5K Run for Art, Culture, and Education (RACE) to be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; approved by all departments and a cost of $200.00 to Police Dept. for traffic control and security; $100.00 for the Fire Dept. for a fireman to lead the race; $100.00 for the use of (4) four light towers (Exhibit 8-f)

    g)     Approve Run/Walk Permit Application for the St. Alphonsus PTO 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run to be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.; Downtown/Front Beach approved route; approved by all departments and a cost of $300.00 for traffic control and $75.00 for the use of (3) three light towers (Exhibit 8-g)

    h)     Authorize the Special Event Permit Application for the Real Krewes Wear Pink to Drink Pub Crawl Event scheduled for Saturday, September 23, 2017; registration is from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and the event is from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.; Event to begin at intersection of Washington Ave. and Government St. and go to the intersection of Government St. and Russell Ave.; no costs incurred by the city (Exhibit 8-h)

    i)       Authorize to remove Rhyeen Brown, Purchasing Agent, from probationary status to full time status effective September 28, 2017 (Exhibit 8-i)

    j)       Ratify Proclamation of Existence of a Local Emergency  by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs Mississippi and further terminate the status of the Local Emergency enacted by Hurricane Harvey

    k)     Authorize the Mayor to enter into a Bailment Agreement between the Gulf Hills Golf Club and the City of Ocean Springs for the use of golf carts for the Cruisin’ the Coast Event on October 4 -8, 2017 (Exhibit 8-k)

    l)       Authorize the Mayor to sign and execute the Temporary Dedication of Land for Public Purposes located on or about 709 Church Street (PID #60119116.000) between Roger Applewhite, Manager of Applewhite Properties, LLC and the City of Ocean Springs beginning October 2-9, 2017 for use during the Cruisin’ the Coast Event (Exhibit 8-l)

    m)    Authorize to remove Ashleigh Gordon from probationary status to full time status effective immediately (Exhibit 8-m)

    n)      Accept Monthly Fire Department Report (Exhibit 8-n)

    o)      Authorize to declare various items as surplus (as of no value to the City), remove from City assets and dispose of accordingly (Exhibit 8-o)

    p)     Authorize to extend the probationary period for Austin Gatewood an additional two months ending November 21, 2017 (Exhibit 8-p)

    q)     Accept resignation of David Williams, Street Department Laborer Class C, effective September 29, 2017; authorize to begin the process of filling the vacant position (Exhibit 8-q)

    r)      Authorize to remove Ryver Franklin from probationary status to full time status effective September 21, 2017 (Exhibit 8-r)

    s)       Authorize to transfer Eric Kordek to the Sewer Department Pump Station and Collection Systems Specialist position effective September 20, 2017 at his current rate of pay until October 21, 2017 his rate of pay will increase to $16.00 per hour; authorize to begin the process to fill the vacant Street Department Equipment Operator position (Exhibit 8-s)

    Community Development & Planning:

    t)       Authorize to Execute summary Change Order #4, reducing the contract by $3,169.27 and adding 6 Substantial Completion Days, and Close Out Documents with Talon Electrical & Mechanical Group for the MDA Energy Efficiency Revolving Loan Project as recommended by Compton Engineering, Inc. (Exhibit 8-t)

    u)      Authorize the Mayor to execute the Professional Services Agreement with George T. Fore & Associates in the amount of $19,850.00 for MDAH Certified Local Government (CLG) Grant Program Award – OS Community Center Moisture Damage Study within the grant budget as approved (Exhibit 8-u)

    PLANNING COMMISSION:

    v)      Accept the Planning Commission’s recommendation to deny the application for Lot Split located at 1505 Porter Avenue, PID #60130300.000 – Tyler Smith (Exhibit 8-v)

    HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION:

    w)    Approve an application to demolish the existing dwelling located at 1111 Iberville Drive / Marble Springs Historic District as recommended by the Historic Preservation Commission – Dennis Cowart, Applicant (Exhibit 8-w)
