    a)       Authorize to advertise for bids for Solid Waste Services – Collections/Haul/Disposal (Exhibit 7-a)

    b)      Accept Revenue and Expenditures Report through September 28, 2018 (Exhibit 7-b)

    c)       Adopt Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, to rent office space in the Ryan Youth Center to Young Life for a term of two (2) years (Exhibit 7-c)

    d)      Authorize to Execute the Lease for Office Space Agreement between the City of Ocean Springs and Young Life for office space in the Ryan Youth Center for a period of (2) two years beginning November 1, 2018; pending proof of General Liability Insurance (Exhibit 7-d)

    e)       Approve Run/Walk Permit Application for a Walk for the Blind:  Sharing the Vision Run/Walk Event scheduled for Friday, October 19, 2018 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.; Front Beach pathway and Harbor route; no costs incurred by the City (Exhibit 7-e)

    f)       Approve Special Event Permit Application for the Veteran’s Day parade scheduled for Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. with setup to begin at 10:00 a.m.; using the regular parade route; no costs incurred by the City (Exhibit 7-f)

    g)       Approve Run/Walk Permit Application for the St. Alphonsus Night of Neon Run/Walk Event scheduled for Friday, November 2, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; route approved by the Police Department (see map); cost incurred are $400.00 for traffic control and $100.00 for light towers (Exhibit 7-g)

    h)      Approve the Special Event Permit Application for Christmas on Government Street Craft Festival scheduled for Saturday, December 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. & Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Pleasant/Fallo Parking Lot and Sugar Delights Gifts Parking Lot; cost incurred are $25.00 for light tower and $500.00 for overnight security; pending receipt of General Liability Insurance document (Exhibit 7-h)

    i)        Authorize the request from the non-profit organization, Friends of the Ocean Springs Municipal Libraries, to waive the rental fees for the use of the Ocean Springs Senior Center on November 8th and 16th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and December 1st, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Exhibit 7-i)

    j)        Authorize the request from the Ocean Springs Library to declare the list of miscellaneous items as surplus (of no value to the City); remove from the City’s assets and dispose of the items (Exhibit 7-j)

    k)      Authorize to declare the list of miscellaneous equipment as surplus (of no value to the City), remove from the City’s inventory and dispose of (Exhibit 7-k)

    l)        Authorize out-of-state travel for Deputy Nate Wilson to attend a Fire Captain and District Chief Assessment Panel for the City of Jackson in Memphis, TN on October 6-12, 2018 (Exhibit 7-l)

    m)    Authorize out-of-state travel for Fire Chief Jeff Ponson to attend the Fire Captain Assessment Panel of Jefferson County in Birmingham, AL on October 28 - November 2, 2018 (Exhibit 7-m)

           Human Resources/Risk Management:

    n)      Authorize to hire Jefferson Broadus, Firefighter, effective October 17, 2018; $10.43 hourly rate; one year probationary period; pending successful completion of all pre-employment requirements (Exhibit 7-n)

    o)      Authorize to promote the following; Sergeant Al Parker to Lieutenant; $21.07 hourly rate; six month probationary period – Patrolman Len Ordonez to Sergeant; $19.49 hourly rate; six month probationary period – Patrolman Steven Riley to Sergeant; $19.49 hourly rate; six month probationary period; all effective October 6, 2018 (Exhibit 7-o)

    p)      Approve termination of employee #2300; authorize to advertise to fill the vacant Sewer Department Laborer position (Exhibit 7-p)

    q)      Authorize to remove Public Works  employee Brett Spicer from probationary status to full time status effective October 4, 2018 (Exhibit 7-q)

    r)        Authorize to declare the list of miscellaneous item as surplus (of no value to the City); remove from City assets and dispose of (Exhibit 7-r)

    s)       Authorize to Execute Agreement Modification to provide a no cost extension for Gulf of Mexico Grant Agreement Planning for Continuity in Ocean Springs (Exhibit 7-s)

    t)        Approve request to transfer ownership of Parcel ID #07221049.000 in Toscana Subdivision in Jackson County from Fritz Development, LLC to the City of Ocean Springs (Exhibit 7-t)

    u)      Accept Tree Protection Committee Meeting Minutes from September 25, 2018 (Exhibit 7-u)

    v)      Accept Code Enforcement Report through September 28, 2018 (Exhibit 7-v)

           Parks & Recreation:

    w)     Authorize to declare the 2010 Sundance Skiff Boat and 2010 Boat Trailer as surplus; remove from the City’s assets; and send to auction (Exhibit 7-w)

    9.       PUBLIC COMMENT:  The public is invited to address the Board for up to 3 minutes each for a maximum period of 30 minutes. The Board will take all comments under advisement to take potential action at a later date if warranted. Priority will be given to Ocean Springs residents and Business Owners.
