    a)      Adopt an Ordinance Amending Ordinance NO. 5-1972 by Removing Civil Service Protection All Full-Time  Positions (Exhibit 5-a)

    b)      Adopt an Ordinance Amending the Code of Ordinances Chapter 7.5, Article II Regarding the Cemetery Board  (Exhibit 5-b)

    a)      Authorize to promote Interim City Clerk Patty Gaston to City Clerk, effective October 17, 2018, with one-year  probation, salary of $66,530.00 (Exhibit 6-a)

    e)     Approve payment: Docket of Claims and spread summary upon the Minutes (Exhibit 6-e)

    f)      Ratify check in the amount of $500.00 for Mayor’s Youth Council annual The Lot event for the band Midnight    Love (Exhibit 6-f)

    g)     Approve Special Event Permit Application for Fear Fete 7th Annual Zombie Pub Crawl scheduled for Saturday,  October 20, 2018 approved by Police Dept., Pub Crawl will take place on Government St. from Washington Ave. to  Russell Ave.,  cost incurred is $300.00 for security (Exhibit 6-g)

    h)     Approval Run/Walk Permit Application for Walk for Willow Run-Walk Event scheduled for Saturday, November 3,  2018 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Front Beach Pathway and OS Bridge; no costs incurred by the City (Exhibit 6-h)

    j)       Accept Proposed Changes to the Leave Policy for Personal and Sick Leave in regard to newly hired employees  with the recommendation of the City Department Heads (Exhibit 6-j)

    k)      Authorize removing Sergeant Josh Fox from probationary status to full time status effective October 7, 2018    (Exhibit 6-k)      

    l)       Accept resignation of Firefighter, Corey Carlson, effective October 20, 2018; authorize to begin the process of   filling the vacancy (Exhibit 6-l)

    m)   Authorize beginning the process to fill the vacant Street Department Equipment Operator position due to the  termination of Employee #2331 (Exhibit 6-m)

    n)     Authorize to extend the current contract with Graham Construction Co., Inc. for an additional year beginning  October 21, 2018 thru October 20, 2019, at the current rates and fees for manpower and equipment  (Exhibit 6-n)

    o)     Authorize to award Gulf Breeze Landscaping, LLC in the amount of $47,600 for the Ground Maintenance Contract  for one year (Exhibit 6-o)

    p)      Approve the application for Construction a Single Family Dwelling on a Non-Conforming Lot located at 1119  Vermont Avenue, PID #60119190.000, as recommended by the Planning Commission – Brad and Rylee Crates  (Exhibit 6-p)

    s)      Approve the Individual Service Contract with Karate Instructor, Bill Oster, for a period of (12) twelve months  (Exhibit 6-s)

    t)       Authorize to approve the Facility Use Agreement with the Ocean Springs Girls Lacrosse Organization to utilize the  Gay Lemon Football Field beginning January 2, 2019 through April 26, 2019 (Exhibit 6-t)

    8.     PUBLIC COMMENT:  The public is invited to address the Board for up to 3 minutes each for a maximum period of 30 minutes. The Board will take all comments under advisement to take potential action at a later date if warranted. Priority will be given to Ocean Springs residents and Business Owners.
