    a)      Adopt Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi to temporarily allow consumption of beer and sale of food and beer on public property for the 1699 Weekend of Discovery on April 29, 2017 (Exhibit 6-a)

    b)      Adopt Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi to temporarily close Government Street on April 28, 2017 in celebration of 1699 "Weekend of Discovery”; close Government Street from Washington Avenue east up to Russell Avenue (Exhibit 6-b)

    c)      Discussion concerning the adoption of an amendment to Code of Ordinances, the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, prohibiting parking or standing vehicles on the west side of Simon Blvd. from its intersection with Stuart Ave., easterly to its intersection with Kensington Street – Chic Cody (Exhibit 6-c) 

    7.      PUBLIC COMMENT:  The public is invited to address the Board for up to 3 minutes.  The Board will take all comments under advisement for potential action at a later date if warranted.

    d)     Accept donation from the Krewe of Barry in the amount of $1385.74 to purchase additional equipment for the Ryan Youth Center (Exhibit 8-d)

    e)     Authorize the request from The 1699 Historical Society to waive the rental fees for the use of the Ocean Springs Community Center and the Senior Citizen’s Center on Friday, April 28, 2017 to host the Kickoff Reception associated with the 1699 Weekend of Discovery Event  pending receipt of the rental agreements, deposit, and setup and cleanup fees; security for the event is required (Exhibit 8-e)

    f)      Approve Special Event Permit Application for National Day of Prayer Event on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm to be held in front of City Hall (Exhibit 8-f)

    g)     Approve Run/Walk Permit Application for the Ainsley’s Angels 5K Event to be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; Front Beach/Bridge route, no costs to the City (Exhibit 8-g)

    j)       Authorize to transfer Chester Taylor from Drainage Department Laborer Class B to Water Department Laborer Class B position at the current rate of pay; effective April 12, 2017; six-month probationary period; authorize to advertise the vacant Drainage Department Laborer Class B position (Exhibit 8-j)

    k)      Accept resignation from Jared Seymour, Drainage Department Equipment Operator, effective April 28, 2017; authorize to begin the process of filling the vacant position (Exhibit 8-k)

    Community Development & Planning:

    l)       Authorize the Mayor to execute the DMR Tidelands Grant Agreement for the Gulf Coast Research Lab – Public Access Improvements – FY 17-P412-01; award amount $87,500 (Exhibit 8-l)

    m)    Authorize to adopt the Ordinance to vacate undeveloped right of way connected to San Souci Ave. at East Beach Dr. – Lot 77, LeMoyne Beach Subdivision to allow for single-family construction (Exhibit 8-m)

    n)      Ratify payment to D. O’Brian Construction LLC for Estimate #3 in the amount of $133,360.39 for MDOT-STP-Government Street Improvement Project (Exhibit 8-n)

    o)      Authorize to Mayor to execute CE&I Services Contract with Neel-Schaffer for MDOT Surface Transportation Program Porter Avenue Infrastructure Project pending MDOT concurrence (Exhibit 8-o)

    Planning Commission:

    p)      Accept Planning Commission recommendation to approve the preliminary plat for a (12) twelve lot subdivision, PID #61262013.000 – south side of Ocean Springs Road, between Old CCC Camp Road and Reilly Road; approximately 1,900 feet east of Old CCC Camp Road – Jason and Roxanne Borries (Exhibit 8-p)

    Historic Preservation Commission:

    q)      Accept Historic Preservation Commission recommendation to approve the construction of a building addition on the North side of the building located at 921 Ocean Avenue / Old Ocean Springs Historic District – First Presbyterian Church of Ocean Springs (Exhibit 8-q)

    Zoning and Adjustment Board:

    r)       Accept the Zoning and Adjustments Board recommendation to approve a variance to allow accessory structures to exceed the allowed 40% (600sf) within the rear yard area located at 401 Ward Avenue, PID #61011069.000 (Exhibit 8-r)
