    b)      Adopt Resolution of the City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi to temporarily allow consumption of beer, wine, and alcohol, and sale of food and beer on public property for the 1699 Weekend of Discovery on April 28, 2018 (Exhibit 7-b)

    e)   Approve the Special Event Permit Application for the 1699 Weekend of Discovery Event on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Front Beach and at Fort Maurepas; authorize street closure on Front Beach from Washington Avenue to Jackson Avenue (Exhibit 8-e)

    f)       Approve Run/Walk Permit Application for the 1699 Race of Discovery scheduled as part of the 1699 Weekend of Discovery Event on Saturday, April 28, 2018 using the Front Beach Pathway and Bridge only; 5K Run begins at 8:00 a.m. and the Kid’s 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 8:45 a.m. (Exhibit 8-f)

    g)      Approve Special Event Permit Application submitted by Waste Pro USA for the 2018 Annual Earth day Event scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Little Children’s Park; authorize to close Calhoun Street from Washington Avenue to Dewey Avenue (Exhibit 8-g)

    h)      Authorize to approve the annual renewal contract for dispatch services for Gulf Island National Seashore (Exhibit 8-h)

    Police Department:

    i)        Authorize to hire Chad Broadus, Part-Time Warrants Officer, effective April 18, 2018; $13.00 hourly rate; one year probation period pending completion of all pre-employment requirements (Exhibit 8-i)

    Fire Department:

    j)       Accept Monthly Fire Department Report for March 16, 2018 – April 12, 2018 (Exhibit 8-j)

    k)      Authorize to extend probationary period for Firefighter Tristan Garriga by (90) ninety days to allow time to successfully complete the requirement of passing the national Registry for First Responder Certification exam (Exhibit 8-k)

    Human Resources/Risk Management:

    l)       Authorize revisions to the Substance Abuse in the Workplace policy to require employees that sustain a work-related injury submit to drug and alcohol testing (Exhibit 8-l)

    City Engineer:

    m)    Accept resignation from Kyle Rawahneh, Street Department Laborer Class C, effective April 16, 2018; authorize to begin the process of filling the vacant position (Exhibit 8-m)

    n)      Accept resignation from Devin Bailey, Sewer Department Laborer Class B, effective May 11, 2018; authorize to begin the process of filling the vacant position (Exhibit 8-n)

    Community Development & Planning:

    o)      Authorize out-of-state travel for Carolyn Martin to speak at the Gulf of Mexico Climate & Resilience Community of Practice in Port Aransas, Texas on April 30 – May 1, 2018; no cost to the City as GOMA is covering all travel expenses (Exhibit 8-o)

    p)      Authorize to advertise for (1) upcoming vacancy on the Historic Preservation Commission

    q)      Authorize to advertise for (3) three upcoming vacancies on the Planning Commission

    r)       Authorize to advertise for (3) upcoming vacancies on the Zoning and Adjustment Board
