j)         Accept resignation of Traffic Patrolman, Timothy Shane Tiner, effective September 5, 2008, and authorize beginning the process to fill the vacancy (Exhibit 7-j)

k)        Authorize employment of David J. Queal, Patrolman, hourly rate $14.90, six month probationary period, effective September 17, 2008, pending successful completion of all pre-employment requirements (Exhibit 7-k)

l)         Authorize rehire of Human Resources Assistant, Bobbie Sullivan, previously hourly rate, effective September 16, 2008, pending Civil Service approval (Exhibit 7-l)

m)      Accept recommendation to award attached bid received for two (2) 125kw natural gas generators from Puckett Power Systems of Jackson, MS in the amount of $52,184.00 to be purchased by USDA grant and FEMA Hazard Mitigation funds (Exhibit 7-m)

n)       Accept Utility Easement from Thomas R. and Mary J. Davidson (Exhibit 7-n)

o)       Authorize to advertise bids for The City Street and Sidewalk Rehabilitation Program for one year term (Exhibit 7-o)

p)       Accept resignation of Derrick Charbonnet from Historic Preservation Commission and  authorize beginning the process to fill the vacancy
