Front Beach Sidewalk Project – CDBG Round III (Exhibit 7-b)

  • c) Approve Minutes: Regular Meeting November 3, 2009 (Exhibit 7-c)
  • d) Approve Minutes: Special Call Meeting November 9, 2009 (Exhibit 7-d)
  • e) Approve payment: Docket of Claims and spread upon the Minutes (Exhibit 7-e)
  • f) Accept Action Report (Exhibit 7-f)

       Police Dept.:

  • g) Approve Special Event Permits for the following events:

Annaul Lighting of Tree with Santa, Dec. 3, 2009

2nd Annual Cruisin for Toys for Tots, Dec. 12, 2009

Elks Mardi Gras Parade, Jan. 30, 2010 (Exhibit 7-g)

  • h) Accept promotion of Glen Fox to Sergeant, effective November 18, 2009, annual salary $39,748.80, with a six-month probationary period, and begin the process to fill the vacancy of the patrolman position (Exhibit 7-h)
  • i) Authorize listed vehicles to be declared surplus property, of no value to the city, and authorize to be sent to auction (Exhibit 7-i)

       Fire Dept.:

  • j) Authorize Training Officer David Wicker to be placed on full time status having completed six month probationary period (Exhibit 7-j)

  • k) Authorize payment to Jackson County Board of Supervisors in the amount of $54,820.00 for Ocean Springs Road Realignment Project and amend budget accordingly (Exhibit 7-k)
  • l) Award bid to Empire Truck Sales of Gulfport, in the amount of $100,131.00, for 2009 Knuckle Boom Truck (Exhibit 7-l)
  • m) Award bid to Lee Tractor of Biloxi, in the amount of $64,409.00, for 2009 Backhoe Tractor (Exhibit 7-m)

       Community Development & Planning:        

  • n) Accept Code Enforcement Report for October, 2009 (Exhibit 7-n)
  • o) Accept Tree Committee Report (Exhibit 7-o)
  • p) Authorize employment of Gregory Trala, Code Enforcement Officer, annual salary $35,000.00, effective November 30, 2009, six-month probationary period, pending successful completion of all pre-employment requirements (Exhibit 7-p)
  • Planning Commission:
  • q) Accept Planning Commissions recommendation to approve final plat for Heron Park, located at the SE corner of Zettel and Pabst Rd. (Exhibit 7-q)

Historic Preservation Commission

  • r) Accept Historic Preservation Commission recommendation to approve an addition to the rear of the

main building located at 516 Martin Ave. (Exhibit 7-r)
