5. OLD BUSINESS
a) Authorize Mayor to execute wetlands permit agreement with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and transfer properties and authorize payment to the Land Trust for the Mississippi Coastal Plain in the amount of $175,000.00 for mitigation of Highway 57 ballfields

6. NEW BUSINESS
a) Jackson County Business Incubator Committee

8. CONSENT AGENDA
Mayor:
a) Authorize Mayor to apply for FEMA Hazardous Mitigation Grants and execute all required application documents (Exhibit 8-a)
b) Accept additional funding for Katrina Supplemental Public Facilities Code Enforcement and modify budget accordingly (Exhibit 8-b)
c) Adopt Resolution to support Preserve America Community Designation for the City of Ocean Springs (Exhibit 8-c)
d) Accept donation of $3,000.00 from HOSA (Historic Ocean Springs Association) for irrigation systems at Little Children Park
e) Authorize Mayor to sign closeout documentation for the Water Main Improvements Project as presented.  Public Works Director and City Engineer concurs (Exhibit 8-e)
f) Authorize mileage reimbursement to an Ocean Springs youth(s) selected to participate in the Youth Leadership Camp in Vicksburg, Mississippi to advertise the resources of the City (Exhibit 8-f)
g) Authorize sponsorship level and payment to Mississippi Sound Spectacular to advertise the resources of the City (Exhibit 8-g)
h) Award bid to Floore Industrial Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $52,000.00 for the drainage project for the Ocean Springs Community Center funded by MDAH (Exhibit 8-h)
i) Authorize Professional Services Contract with Betty Magee to serve as Cultural Programs Coordinator on behalf of the City under the Parks and Leisure Services Department at a rate of $15.00/hour, beginning July 2, 2008, for a period of six months ending January 2, 2008, and to amend the budget accordingly
j) Authorize Professional Services Contract with Dr. Val Husley to construct exhibit display units for the City Museum at the Mary C. O’Keefe and to amend the  budget accordingly
k) Authorize scope of work for three (3) contractors to complete City Museum construction and library shelves to be paid for by the Friends of the Mary C. O’Keefe

t) Authorize employment of Donald Philip Dees, Jr. as Firefighter III, annual salary $29,000, probationary period of one-year, pending successful completion of all pre-employment requirements (Exhibit 8-t)
u) Authorize request to retroactively waive the rental fee for the Civic Center for June 26, 2008 for the Gulf Coast Community Hurricane Preparedness Fair (Exhibit 8-u)
